Nexodyne Voting Tournament Redux |

NVT REDUX
Probably the more exciting announcment of the day. I shall be running the NVT again this year, but totally different to in the past. This time there will be several different topics voted on (alongside the ever popular 'best member') including (but not limited to) the following:
Best movie of all time/Best movie of the last 10 years
Best Actor ever/Best contemporary Actor
Best record of all time/Best record of the last 10 years
Best musical artist ever/Best artist of the last 10 years
Best book ever
etc
etc
Once we've decided on the 10 (or so) polls, we'll all have the choice to nominate 3 voting options. From this the most popular will be taken, probably the top 8 or 16, and then the voting will start. I'll be aiming to do one round of polls per month, so it will take probably the whole year to finish this thing, which should be a lot of fun. Enjoy!

Chuck The Nexodyne Truck - World Tour! |

CHUCK THE NEXODYNE TRUCK - WORLD TOUR!!
So I forgot about doing this last night, but I figured you'd all guessed what it was already (second announcement still forthcoming) so yeah, Chuck the Nexodyne Truck will be going on his world tour this year. First we'll collect the addresses. We'll then draw up a map with a route on it to see where he's going, and then he makes his trip. All of us will take a photo with him, and then we can make an album with them once it's all done. Unfortunately I lost a lot of the PMs with addresses in (and you all may have moved or whatever) so PM me your addresses again and we'll get the ball rolling with this thing.

There's two things I've been planning on doing for a while, that I'll kick off in the new year. Look forward to announcements on them both possibly on news years day, or possibly a few days later depending on how busy I am. They're seperate from each other completely, but both should be a bit of fun that (hopefully) lasts us the whole year.

As many of you may have noticed, Nexodyne is occasionally rather slow the first time you view it each day.
During a moment of inspiration, I think I worked out what's making it so slow, and I'm pretty sure I have fixed the problem.
From now on, the site should no longer suffer from really slow page loading each day, but if it does, please PM me.
