Holy shit. Hey Pandu, it's been a while. I just decided I'd see if my login creds still worked, too. And apparently they do.

Does anyone else get this weird sad feeling when they see that the majority of the site's activity is from automated bots? Not that I long to be 13 years old again, posting on these boards, but it's a shame that it's some sort of weird wasteland of conversation now. It's a shame that we can't keep our old accounts and migrate everything onto a new system that isn't vulnerable to bots (or atleast as many).

Yeah, it's unfortunate. If we still had active administrators, I don't think it would be too difficult to keep the spam in check. Maybe install a mod that requires a new user's first few posts to go into the moderation queue or something.
