The Staff asks for help
 

We all know Neohacks just isnt what it used to be. No one can for sure put a finger on it, but we all know something is just missing. The staff cannot come up with an answer as to why, so we are asking you.

What can be done to the board to make it more fun? We dont want suggestions in general, we want fun things. Anything will be considered a good idea if:

<li>It's fun.
<li>It isn't a general thing that needs to get done.
<li>It's original.
<li>It's creative.

As I suggested in the suggestions topic, some kind of store/point system... Maybe even an RPG and battle system, too.

I would like to add that any suggestions you make, be sure that you would be willing to do them yourself. The staff isnt a group of super heroes.

Special advantages as you stay longer at nhacks like nhacks makes a joint account and when someone is here for say 2 years they get 1mil from the joint account cuz that would be cool

A board where members can say anything and do anything without fear of the rules. The one rule would be no porn, to keep n/h from getting in trouble. Post count would not go up in this forum, and it would be for just stupid, silly stuff. And it would get cleared every 24 hours.

I like fettbboy's idea a LOT! Also, I think we need a photosho-related activity of some sort. Maybe a weekly(?) contest for the coolest modification to a predefined picture.

Some sort of contest would be the best. Something like maybe a BD contest in np where the winner gets something special. Ive seen other forums do Poetry contests about the forum. Thats kinda fun to read. Also other fun things are a Post your Pic thread. Those usually seem to bring in a large number of posts and are kinda fun to see what your fellow gamers look like. I have more ideas i just cant think of them >.<

fb's idea is awesome! for all the stuff we want to post, but cant! I think photoshop contests would be nice too, we did them before, anyone remember? i do. Maybe some more boards with computer related stuff, some more boards like tutorialforums.com or tutorials category where people could post about new tutorials on their sites, post tutorials for other people, etc

there was a flaming board a month or so ago. It was only active for a few hours though.

But the main reason why new people come here is because of Neopet related stuff. We need to be more active in that board to keep them coming and then they will find all the other topics. Even if it is the slightest change in Neopets we should post it just so there is activity in that section.

How about....cutting some of the strict rules about what we can say..and get rid of banning swear words for the most part...(just a thought).
Um, possibly add places for other games here at nhacks, so its not only just for neopets, but also for other quite-popular games out there, that other people only dream of finding cheats for it. Maybe also, actually LOOK for some programmers, or maybe even have a slightly different approach on the Technical thread, so it has a diverse library of information for programming and designing, not just for when things come up.
If this makes any sense, but also maybe a more content-based web site as well, once again, not covering only the dully-put neopets online game...I think it might be time to shift to something new :o
