What are you reading currently?
I'm reading a book by Eckhart Tolle called The Power of Now. It's about harnessing the power of the present and forgetting about past and future. I've got a few more personal growth books lined up, and after that I'm going to read all of the original Dexter books :O

Re-reading The Dark Tower IV: Wizard and Glass. I've got some non-fiction books that I'm planning on reading once I've gone through the DT series again. I'm thinking about World War II era stuff, biographies, stuff like that.

I've been re-reading The Hobbit to refresh my memory a little before the movie comes out later this year. It'll be definitely interesting to see 12 dwarves on the big screen, haha.

I've read that gave up about 3/4's through cause it became redundant.
Look into Remember Be Here Now, and also something that gave a nice spin on why we're here Seth Speaks.

oh man you've just completely described where I'm at. Also the end gets a bit silly.. I'm determined to stick it out though, I've just got to sit down and finish it. I'll look into that other title

Just finished the 7th book of the Malazan Book of the Fallen by Steven Erikson. While waiting for some money so I can buy the next book, I've read Shadow Puppets by Orson Scott Card, and I'm now about half way through The Way of Shadows by Brent Weeks.

Finished The Way of Shadows. It was good, but could have been better. The world building seemed lacking.
Quality picked up as it went, though, so I've got high hopes for the next 2 books in the trilogy.

Read the first two books of the Mistborn series by Brandon Sanderson, then Towers of Midnight by Brandon Sanderson/Robert Jordan (13th Wheel of Time book), and then finished the last Mistborn book. Pretty good. Going to get Way of Kings by Brandon Sanderson next, I think.
Also read the 4th book of the Nightrunner series by Lynn Flewelling. Not excellent, but still entertaining enough that I'll probably get the 5th book after Way of Kings.
Haven't read them yet, but I bought The Darkness that Comes Before by R. Scott Bakker (first book of the Prince of Nothing series) and Shadowmarch by Tad Williams (first book of the Shadowmarch quadrology). I can't recall what I read about them, but they've been sitting in my Amazon wishlist for months and I noticed there were some cheap used copies available with free Prime shipping.

I'm about three quarters of the way through Mark Twain's, "Personal Recollections of Joan of Arc."
Wonderful, wonderful book. Probably his best effort and he would agree with you.
"I like Joan of Arc best of all my books; and it is the best; I know it perfectly well. And besides, it furnished me seven times the pleasure afforded me by any of the others; twelve years of preparation, and two years of writing. The others needed no preparation and got none." --Mark Twain
